Gwennili

The band started in 2011 in Saigon, Vietnam, as a group of few friends with only singers and with a very strong influence from the culture of Brittany. 

Over the years, the band went through continuous renewal with arrival and departures from the members in and out of Vietnam and accompanied by a diversification of the music genres and a perpetual change of musical instruments.

Today, we play remakes and a few original songs influenced by Folk, Rock, Irish Celtic. 

Our songs are coming from multiple countries, mostly in French or English.

We often feature swallows on our flyers—these birds are known for their long journeys across the world. Our band is inspired by Brittany, and in Breton, the word ‘Gwennili’ means swallows. We usually use these ones:
